The Ginger Man Bar on 36th Street in lower midtown Manhattan offers a tremendous telescopic view of the Empire State Building, not to mention something like 200 craft and specialty beers. When my friend and co-author Paul Guido and I wrote the 1,440-page USA Today College Football Encyclopedia we would finish a long day of library research by wandering over to the Ginger Man to discuss book ideas.
